LIEAP is a federal program issued at a State level. It is low income energy assistance program. This year they lowered the income level to include most single income families. It is based on the amount living in the home and the income. They provide electric and propane assistance along with a once time home evaluation and improvement.

It is paid by everyones taxes and it a great program. I saved over $1100 on propane each year for the past two years.
