I'm just going to list all of mine in one thread to make it easier. If some of these have already been mentioned, I apologize, I haven't had a chance to read through them all!
-Shop the perimeter of the grocery store. That means fruits, veggies, meats, milk and bread. Keeps all the processed foods out of the cart which is healthier and it really does save money!
-Take a drive on trash day. Its amazing what people with throw out! Especially if they're moving. I've found furniture, tools, laundry baskets, fans, plastic bins, highchairs & lots more! With a little elbow grease cleaning them up, you can save yourself TONS of money!
-Reuse anything plastic. I wash out and re-use butter tubs, cool whip containers, Ziploc bags, plastic grocery bags (for small trash can liners), 2-liter bottles (for the dog water bowl), etc. It helps the environment and saves money at the same time!
-Take the time to read price labels when shopping. Sometimes using a coupon isn't the cheapest way to go. I look at the size, weight, etc and then the unit prices of items when looking for the best deal. Compare to sale items or items with a coupon to make sure you're really getting your money's worth.
-Dilute everything. Juice, laundry detergent, shampoos, body wash, hairspray, etc. By adding just a little water, you can really stretch your dollar.
That's all I can think of right now!
