One of my other favorite money saving tips is to have all my regular bills taken automatically through my checking account. I review the bill and call if there are concerns, but this saves in stress, having to remember when to mail the payment, stamps (if you have 10 bills on average a month postage alone saves 46.80 per year), time, checks (these often cost money too), late fees, etc....
