Everybody knows that ground beef can be expensive, esp when it is lean. Look for London Broil to go on sale. In the Southeast, 1.99 is a good sale. Pick out a nice London Broil (I usually get a 3lb one) and have the store grind it for you. This is an excellant cut of lean meat. When I get one I divide the meat by the pound. I may brown some and freeze it or freeze some raw. When I need lean ground beef I already have it in the freezer by the pound and for a great price.
