I put off purchases that are a want vs. need. I'll wait a few days often, look it up online for a better price, try ebay, read reviews, go through my house (that is rather small) and think about what type of storage space it'll need and where that will be, see if a friend has a similar product I can try out or borrow, try to make it myself, improvise, etc....

I have RARELY been disappointed and neither has my wallet!
