If you tell the seller you are just starting a new hobby and are looking for very cheap glasses(whatever) most people will give you a cheaper price. the trick is to buy items that there are usually only one or two of. I buy glass bottles/cups/etc that the kids can paint on. they then resale items at kids craft show.
