Well, I thought I'd try out the poll, so here's my first one. This morning I complained to hubby that I am out of tea bags again and he told me when I quit my job that I will have to use them over and over. How many times do you use your tea bag?

I had to vote 'only once', because that is what I have always done. I have never even thought of using it more than once. Wouldn't the flavor be very weak?? And then that defeats the purpose of drinking a cup of tea. I guess I am not frugal on this one at all.

I have never thought of trying it either. I too would think that the flavor would be too weak. I'll have to try it and see. I do drink alot of tea I think that is all I drink. We go through a pitcher of Iced Tea a day and I drink about 3 cups between meals.

I often share a tea bag with my mom- we'll use one bag to make two cups of tea. The flavor stays strong as long as you let the bag steep long enough. Alternatively- just use one bag to brew a whole pot of tea- you can get at least a couple of cups out of it that way, maybe more. That's how a tea party works!

I have never wrapped up a used bag to reuse later. I'd rather just heat up a cup of already made tea.

But in a cost comparison, a tea bag cost pennies, whereas a can of soda costs much more.

Yep! Just let it steep longer! The 2nd cup might not be as filled with aroma but it's still pretty flavorful because after I let the bag sit longer...

Once. But I do make it in a large tea pot. One bag makes about 3-4 cups.

But recently I found something even more frugal and way better tasting. I went to the Indian grocery store and bought Red Label loose tea. It is fantastic and I am very picky about my tea. I only use a tsp per teapot, let it steep for 6 minutes, and cup of perfect tea for way less than a tea bag. (You will need a tea strainer - also available at the Indian food stores - to strain out the leaves).

I only use it once but I make about 6 cups with it! I use the coffeepot and put the tea bag right into the pot so that as the water fills it steeps. I like strong tea and this is strong enough for me. I do that when I'm having trouble staying warm. The tea warms me from the inside out!

Sometimes a tea bag, lot's of times loose tea. I agree with KathrynHannah, the tea strainer is great, I also sometimes use a tea ball, which holds the loose tea.

I always make a pot of tea , I pour myself a cup and put the rest in a thermos.

I only use it once, however Im very particular how I like my tea.
I use a china tea pot, with two tea bags, and normally can get three, or four cups of tea out of it depending on the size of the tea mugs.
