So far this month I've only bought gas, groceries, cat food and dog food. I make a weeky trip to the Wonder Bread Outlet and only walked out with buns and 4 loaves of bread---no snacks, yeah.

Didn't spend any money today--actually made some money. At Half Price Books I got $3.50 for some books and at Once Upon a Child I got $7.50 for some baby toys I found when I was decluttering. I think I'll put this money in a special spot to save for garage sales in the spring.

I've been doing pretty well, but have to go grocery shopping tonight. I keep looking at the list and wondering what can be cut out. I only wanted to spend $50.00 but don't think this is going to be possible!

Our stores won't take them the day after they expire........I have to say I rarely use coupons becuase they don't save me very much.

Hi I am new at this and yes, Kroger will double coupons - for example if you use 10 cents and they will double it to 20 cents off. Their double coupons are only up to 50 cents and they rarely do have Triple Coupons or Truckload too. Hope this do help and I love to shop at Kroger for my family with my Kroger Plus Card which do help me to save some money with coupons too.

Although I planned on doing well this month, things haven't started out so well. For starters, the engine went out on my husbands work car and rather than keep fixing it, as we have been, we decided to get a new used van for me and my husband took the car I was driving. So we had to pay for towing and will have to pay for taxes at the end of the month. Next, my daughter and I both got sick, so we had two $25 copays at the dr., plus medicine. Plus, my husband has brought home take out to eat since I wasn't feeling up to making anything. Today, I locked the keys in our new van and had to call a locksmith which was $45. Not the best way to start out the month, but I guess we'll have to try harder the remainder of the month. It's so discouraging though!
