I mentioned in a post over the weekend that I was spending way to much at the grocery store. I was taking about $100 with me then using my debit card for anywhere from $50 - $75 more. I was just plain having too much fun at the grocery store. I wanted to try to start keeping my bill under $100.

This week I spent $99.81.

It's a great feeling, isn't it!! That is awesome. What did you do differently?

Yeees! Did you use a calculator to add up purchases or have a mental total going?

Great job! It really helps a lot to have a goal. I know when I started giving myself $40 a week, I really didn't have as much of a problem sticking to it as I thought I would. I just cut out the junk I would wander around and find.

Good job!

I just did something similar, only not quite as well. We usually spend between 160 and 200 a week and today I meal planned, wrote a list, used a few coupons and only spent $115. If I had followed through and stuck to my list and not bought anything else it would have been right around $100, so next week I'll be sticking like glue to it.

Congrats!!!

:yay!: way to go. Now all you have to do is stay away from the store the rest of the week.

Wow! Good for you! Enjoy that crate of Top Ramen Kidding!!!!!!

I've been naughty..splurged on a couple things at Costco, got candy and a People mag at the grocery store, then zipped through McD's..... yikes! I have a splitttttting headache and just didn't want to deal with dinner. Can't explain the candy... just to make the kids happy and leave me alone I guess! hee hee hee.

Congratulations. I'm trying to do this as well. I've been couponing and noticed a huge savings at the check out! It really does make sense to stock up.
