My dilemma: I had baby gear that I wanted to sell but didn't want to wait for the next big consignment sale still two months away. And I didn't want to settle on a low price at Once Upon a Child (for clothes I don't mind, but for a stroller I do).

Anyway, I have never sold before on Craig's List (free on-line classifieds), but in the last two weeks dh and I have earned $400 selling things that we were tired of having around the house. It was so easy- much easier than eBay, plus no loss on consignment fees. We priced our stuff very reasonably.

If you haven't given Craig's List a try, I recommend it!

I LOVE Craig's list...except on on the other end...it's one of my secret pleasures and I visit it just about everyday to see if I can find any good buys. I bought a treadmill that retails for $900 for $300.

My girlfriend got me hooked on it...she bought a full set of home office furniture from there...beautiful furniture (excutive desk, computer desk with hutch, 4 bookshelves, and 2 file cabinets)...for $250 (the guy really needed to get rid of it, he was moving and couldn't take it with him) plus the guy needed to get rid of some other stuff so he gave her the other stuff for free...she came home with everything, put the other stuff she got for free on craig's list and she sold it...the office furniture ended up costing her nothing and she made about $200...

it's a great website!!

From what I've heard, Craigslist is a very good program. You can find so much stuff on there. My uncle once bought a boat for less than $3000.00

I really like that it is is free to post! I've had some weird dealings, but also good ones on Craigslist. Much easier for me than eBay since I don't have to pay for postage or worry about getting to the post office by said date, fee payment, not getting what you thought, etc.

Pandi410 can you tell us what the weird dealings were? Maybe it's something we can look out for.

I have had really good experiences on Craig's List. We've sold hundreds of dollars selling things we don't use anymore on it.
