Here are some ideas for you and your kids when it's not quite so cold outside:
obvious ones:sledding, snow ball fight, snow angels, snowmen
take empty clean ketchup bottles and fill them with colored water. let your kids paint the snow.
Anyone have other ideas?

skating. making different snow characters, turtles, mermaids whatever. let them hel you shovel they love it. especially if you have a big enough shovel you can give em a ride in it lol. my dad has this huge bucket shovel that he used to giveme rides in it and he does it for my kids now. they love it.
