i just started doing this so i need to count it. I am thinking of swithching banks to the one that rounds up and puts the change in savings! I am sure it adds up quick without even knowing

I have done this for years. We keep our jar in a closet and randomlyfill it from change piles around the house. This way, we forget it's there. We've got well over $100 in there right now. Maybe we'll make it to Disney in 5 years I'd like the bank card too though-easy to not notice a few cents here and there.

I have two change jars, one is ds bank, the other is dd bank. Dh and I put all our change in there banks and then it goes in their college funds (altough we did let ds save to bring to disney work last year - he saved from jan-june and with 20 he got from doing a research study, he had over 100) When they want to start spending it, we may have to make there banks for there use and start our own jar to put in their college funds

I started this in January--I got one of the Youniverse piggy banks --it totals your money as you put it in. I now have $69.53 in there!!!! I have some more rolled--somewhere--I hide things and sometimes forget--but it was still last yrs. I guess I'm gonna have to go back and read from the first cause I don't get what we are doing LOL...

This was a good week and I put my extra one dollar bills in the jar also!! Yeah I hope this helps my total @ the end of the month **Can't wait to report**
All the change will go in savings to help toward a down payment on a car!!

I am in too! My son have his coin bottle in his room and we always drop the changes in it. I will depoit them into the savings when the bottle is fill up full and save the money for my son. That is great idea to do this!
