Okay ladies I know a lot of us keep our change so how about we have a challenge. It would be interesting to see.

I've put my change jar total in my signature so I can keep track of it. Maybe this way I'll be more inclined to keep change in it. I update mine only when the jar starts to get full and I roll the coins but you can do this any way you want.

Anyone game?

nice idea but we like our's to be a surprise. we save all year and us the jar for the state fair. no going over the money we saved. we usually come home with money back and that goes into savings.
last year we had 2 jars one was $192.00, that's the one we used for state fair. the other we just put into the bank and that was 73.00 I do believe.

I do save by wrapping it up and then once I reach a fair amount of wrapped coins I take them to the bank and then they go into the savings account. Its a great additional savings. Occasionally we'll use our change for a major purchase we're saving for. Right now the change is going towards a new fridge.

I'm in!! I really need to start saving my change, but it seems the kids need .50 here and there. I'm going to hide it, and I'll post how much I have at the end of the month!!

I'm in! I just started putting all our change in a container in my son's room. I had noticed that when I had the jar in the kitchen it was too easy for my DH to see and just grab change out for coffee, or my DD would use it for who knows what Anyway, out of sight out of mind is my theory
