I know that I am not the most frugal person in the world, but I do pretty well! It just seems like every expense in the world has come up lately Of course moving always invloves lots of expenses, some expected (truck, deposits, organizing materials etc) and some unexpected ($400 electrician, $500 for plumber, new washer and dryer). Then dh really, really needed new glasses ( $300 cheapest bifocals possible, but he can see now!) $300 in vet bills for our puppies, which I know we will more than recoup when they sell, but it is still an outlay. $150 for car repairs, way too much for helping out my dd which once again spiraled to way more than the agreed amount (she will not be getting anymore help from me!)

Activiites for my kids have cost way too much lately!! I know that alot of you do not consider this a necissity, but I do. This is one thing that is extremely important to me. It is one of the main reasons we moved, so my kids could do more activites. Wrestling was $90 for the 3 of them, plus shoes and fund raiser and tournaments. Volleyball was $275 plus new shoes, socks and shorts. I just registered the boys for spring/summer soccer and dropped another $200

Also, we have to get another computer that is IBM compatible, because the WAH place I am starting up with does not support MACS and that is all we have. I told dh to find something really cheap, and it does not have to be real good. I will way more than pay for it in a month, but still!!!!

Then I decided to do something for myself and got myself and dd new razor phones. It cost $199, but I get $100 back in rebates, but of course I have to wait for that!!!

Why does everything cost so much!!! I know that alot of you will say that it is my choice to buy those things. And I agree. I guess I am just venting that everything comes at once!!!

I have been feeling the same way lately. My husbands work car broke down, so he had to have it towed ($50) and come to find out, it needs a new engine. Well, instead of fixing we decided to get me a new used van, so we had to take out a loan and will be paying sales tax and registration this month (around $600). Then I locked my keys in the van yesterday and had to call a locksmith ($45). We also have my dd's 1st birthday in a week, so that will be a little money for a gift and party. It is always something!

I understand what you are saying. It does always seem to work that way. Hang in there though because it will get better.

I was having this frustration a couple weeks ago when my car slid off the road and I hit a pole right after (I'm talking the next day) we decided we were going to try and sell it and get me a 4WD but I've just got to look on the bright side and thank heavens I wasn't hurt.

Just focus on the positive and you'll pull through.

I feel your pain.. Mine started in december with x-mas then I was lucky enough to hit a dear that was a 500 deductable then the school i was attending (graduated in december) told me my credits fell below part time so my loan did not kick in and I owed 600.. ok if that was not enough I just found out 2 weeks ago Im losing the kids I do daycare for so theres a thousand a month gone, my loan needs to start being paid back in april thats 125, then I lose my alimoney of 300 in june..
so here i am owing more money but in the same time losing tons....Im nervous being a single mom. So i definitly understand about everything coming down at once...I believe theres a reason unfortunatly my view is cloudy right know.......

I wish you the best and that things work out....

Hang in there! Things will get better. I agree, activities are so important, we always make a way to pay for them too, but they can be so costly!

It always comes at once for me too. I had an extra 100 bucks and dh tells me he needs a special calculator for school, it was 150$. I need new glasses and we get a bill for a doctors vist. We are getting a 3,000$ tax refund and we get a notice in the mail our escrow was short 2,600. It never ends and I wish I had some good advice but all I can say is keep your chin up and keep going forward. All things work out in the end.

I feel your pain! Ours also seem to coincide with anytime we think we'll have a little extra to tuck into savings!
