I've bought the pregnancy tests at the Dollar Tree, and they seem to work fine...negative every stupid time!

Other than that I don't go there much but I probably should. I usually go if I have a party to do or around the holidays.

one thing I like about dollar tree is I have this ummm bad habit of always wanting to try new cleaning products well I can try them at the dollar tree, because if you watch they get new products in smaller sizes, so I try them for a buck, if I like then I watch for coupons and get the bigger sizes, if I dont I havent bought a large size to waste nor have I lost 3 or 4 or more dollars...

I'm not a big fan of dollar stores. For myself I have found I actually do better at Walmart- getting the exact same thing for less. Many times even getting the name brand things for less. I have even gotten better deals at Walgreens than at the dollar store.

I also think it's easier to nickel and dime yourself to death at there because you fool yourself into thinking "it's only a dollar" and in the end you end up spending more.

I prefer DOLLAR TREE over any "dollar" store. Everything in their stores is a dollar! (and it's cute stuff too)

We have a Dollar Tree , actually 2 close to us. No 99cents store or anything like that. What have I bought there? Bars of soap 2 for $1.00, lotion, shampoo, koolaide, pencils, boxes of Christmas cards, some food items like canned pasta, bagged pasta, little debbie snacks, candy canes, garbage bags, dish soap, small toys for my sons, those wash cloths you put in water and they magically expand, cat food, s.o.s. pads, tooth paste, dish soap and the list could go on and on. I agree that the toys are cheapo and fall apart easy so I'm careful at what toys I buy there to avoid a disappointed child. For the other stuff you really can't beat the price and a lot of name brand stuff too.

I love the Dollar Tree...but I do agree you need to watch some things. Like the cheap toys, usually less at WalMart or sometimes even Target. I do by all my "schooling" supplies there, along with my greeting cards (2/$1.00), stickers for my kids or swaps, ponytail holders, gift bags & wrap, and misc HH things. I wouldn't buy food there. My SIL used to work at Nabisco, and when shopping one day had found food that was over a yr old (had checked the packaging code). Since then it's just sorta grossed me out. :hurl:

I love the family dollar, I just bought a little cabinet thing for my bathroom for fifteen dollars and it was very easy to put together, now my bathroom looks complete. Oh and I also bought some BBQ sauce there, a huge container for a buck. And Kraft brand.

I love the dollar general, but some items like clothes don't keep very good, hey sometimes you get what you pay for.

Unfortunately, we had a bunch out in Denver, but now we don't have any Dollar Trees, at least that I know of, out here in Louisiana.
