I love the Dollar Tree. I have a list of things that I go there first for:
cards, bday and otherwise
women's razors
imitation magic erasers and windex wipes
handiwipe-style dishrags, sponges, brillo pads
big bags of pretzels
seasonal items for my classroom like holiday pencils and erasers
prizes for my students, little balls, bags of toy bugs, etc.
gift bags
some food items like relish, fancy-type crackers at xmas, hawaiian punch

Probably a lot more I can't think of. I am saving a lot by making runs there 1 or 2x a month, especially for the house supplies.

It's not a dollar store, really, but at Dollar General, you can get pregnancy tests for $1. They work just as well, for a fraction of the price.

I love Dollar Tree also. I get birthday gift bag items, stocking stuffers, dog treats, plates, cups and silverware for birthday parties, coloring books, puzzles and lots more. For different holidays they have great decorations. Definitely a goldmine for a frugal shopper.

We have a Dollar Tree that I love!

Some of the things I get there:

Treat bags for ds's class
Stuff to fill the treat bags
Gift bags
Wrapping paper, ribbon, etc.
Party supplies
Trinkets for ds
Craft supplies
Toothpaste and other brand name toiletries
They have the best greek olives!
Nail polish remover

I'm not to keen on their cleaning supplies unless they are name brand, and even then the sizes seem smaller than 'regular' sizes.

They also have great musical CD's!

I love the fact that nothing is above $1.

I have always wondered about those! Have they really worked for you?

I love dollar stores it is like going into a toy land for me. I wish we had one in town. When I do get in a good one I can be there for hours looking at all the stuff. I always by a ton of stuff and the kids get books and some toys. It seems to go on and on.

I've never seen anything but junk at the dollar store by us so I don't shop there. But my inlaws live in TN and they have a nice one that has name brand items like I would normally buy, there I would shop!

I love the Dollar Tree and the 99cent store! I get tons of birthday goodies and cleaning stuff there. The DT often has brand name stuff too

We got a new Dollar General just down the road from me now and I was so excited when they finally opened. Everything else is about 15 min away from us. There was actually a line to get it in the first day it opened (don't ask me how I know this ) but anyway, I love going in for cards and stationary and even some tshirts occasionally. I have a Betty Boop one from there that I wear all the time. I don't have a dollar tree near me but I wish I did.
