I agree depending on what kind of wedding you want you can easily find one under your budget. Mine for example was free. My parents-in law were having another ceremony (they renew their vows every few years) and we asked the pastor how much he would charge us and he said his fees were $300 and we just told him that we would love to do it, but we didn't have that kind of money at the time, we weren't expecting to get married just have a little vacation. Well the pastor ended up telling us that he would marry us that he was going to be marrying my parent-in-laws and so we got married on a mountain in Telluride as skiers were coming by. It sounds really cool too when I tell people now that we got married on a ski slope.
