I did end up giving dh the plant for V-day and he liked it!

Dh was out of town for V-day and because of the weather had to stay two extra nights. Well we had planned on having a frugal V-day and I expressedly told him that although lavish gifts were great, I knew he loved me and if he got me a card that would be great (he picks out really nice cards) I do keep my cards from dh too, and enjoy looking at them in further years so to me they are not 'clutter'.

Anyway, since he was stuck at the hotel, he found a CVS and bought me a beautiful card. Then since they stayed (from work) at some fancy-schmancy hotel he took all the samples and gave them to me as a gift. It might seem corny, but to me (I love sample sizes!) this was a great 'free' gift. Some of the other guys even gave him their hotel room samples to give to me (wasn't that sweet?) I just thought it was so cute. Frugal too!!! And now I'm all set for if we travel over the summer I'll have all my toiletries already!

awwwww, that was nice. Glad he was finally able to come home.

How sweet! And his best gift is that he was truly thinking of YOU when he came up with the gift!

Stormy that is so cute. When my hubby travels he always brings home the samples, but there was a day when he wouldn't. It wasn't long ago that I told him I thought we had enough soap stored up but he said "there will be a day when we need that"!
