I have been trying really hard to stick to my budget and cut back on costs big time! I was going over budget by $400-$500 a month! I just bought, bought, bought whenever I "needed" something! Well along with the "living simply" I have managed to cut back this month and so far have stuck with under $50 a week on groceries! I'm sure that we spent a good $400 a month before so I have a estimated savings of 50%! I have written all of my costs into my own check register to keep track. So far I have estimated pretty well and my figures put me at $348 under budget! I'm so proud of myself!

That's Awesome!!!

I've been trying to track my purchases too, and have been doing really great for the month. Coming in under what I should be at....well then we woke up this morning and someone has run over and completely wasted our mail box! So now I get to go buy a new mailbox and blow some of my savings. Dang it!

It's these unplanned things like this that really get me!
