For some people is the changing of the seasons and the need for new clothes. For others it's those long winter months. For some it's the Christmas and Easter when we want to make things really special for our families. For others it's the summer holidays when there is just so much to do.

When are you most tempted to spend? Have you found anything that helps keep the spending down during those really tempting times?

Probably Christmas. I keep my spending down by shoping all year and picking up things when I see them really cheap on clearance.

When I've gone a long time without spending...I can be good for awhile and then I blow it!

I am more tempted to buy things I don't need at the beginning of the month when I get paid.

I have to spread shopping for Christmas throughout the year because the girls's birthdays are in Nov and Dec as well.

when ever Isee a sales rack in the kids clothing department...lol...hard to pass up those cloths under $5....and Christmas......oyyyyyy

I always spend a lot in the spring, outdoors stuff.

In general I over spend when I am upset about something, shopping therapy!

My worst is probably the end of season clothing sales, January and August. I go WAY overboard buying for the next year. I just can't pass up a deal. The next worst would be Christmas.

When I havent been shopping for a while and then I get some unexpected cash--dh's bonus, tax return, etc. thats when i have a good time

When I don't feel like cooking or I'm just plain sick of my own cooking, I'm tempted to spend on takeout or going out.
