I would love to say I'm more like Betty, but I do fall in between the two. I buy for quality when getting bigger things, but tend to buy more cheaply when it's a tshirt or shorts or something. Another thing I will not spend a lot on is fads. Not that I follow the fads, but once in a while I would like to have a certain top or pants that I know will only be in style for a season or two, so I would rather go cheaply on those things. Same with kids clothes. I would never spend a lot on tshirts for kids. I would rather get those 2nd hand, but a good solid pair of jeans? I will pay more for quality.

Frugal is being wise with your money and resources and cheap is forcing everyone else to.

You beat me to it. This is what I strive for.
