Here's an interesting article about the Governor of Oregon's challenge to live on a grocery budget of $21 a week.

I'm impressed. Good for him to try it to see how less fortunate people live.

Wow! What an interesting article.

I went to Kroger today and bought several bags of cheese (on sale), yogurt, milk and a bottle of Suave conditioner and spent $17. I wouldn't last long on this challenge!!!

Well, kudos to him for trying. There are obviously not a lot of people in the spotlight that are going to do something like this. Now, at $21 a person for a week, that would give me $105 for my family, which would be fairly easy to do. And it would not be junk, either.

I read about this article a few weeks ago. I think it was very good of him to try it out and I am just hoping that this starts a trend for all of our state gov's and they start trying to do more to help those in need (even if it means raising the minimum wage so they can have more money!).
