Our Toyota Sienna LE drinks a lot of gas. We spent around $70 just for a full tank. I'm just really happy that DH has a small car that he can take to work and back otherwise we will be paying triple the amount just in two weeks. Right now we fill it up once a month or once every two weeks but still that money adds up. I seriously thinking about getting a car because of the gas prices but I haven't talk to DH yet. It was also our descision to get the van because we are going to have our second baby soon and its good if you travel long distance. I hope gas prices will go down SOON!!!!!!!!!

I'd have a stroke. It only costs us around $50 to fill up BOTH of our cars (a Saturn and a Toyota). Fortunately, the Toyota (my car) gets filled up every other week since it's not driven very much (and gets AWESOME gas mileage). My dh's car gets filled up every week and it's costing him $25 - $27 to fill up.

I see people driving pickups, SUVs, and other large vehicles and wonder how they can afford the gas.

I hear you! Our second car just recently killed over (it was just a little beater but got us around) and we're not going to replace it for a bit, not until winter at least, partly due to gas prices. Of course today my husband starts his new job, a new job that requires him to take our my, and it will be my first day home bound (unless I walk some place) and truthfully, I'm a little nervous!

I figure I may start getting so stuff done at home!

I'm already walking everywhere now and people looking at me like I'm crazy for having 5 grocery bags underneath my stroller. What really kill us though is that we have a friend who lives about 1 1/2 hours away. They are always asking us for a visit or "stay over for the weekend" Lately we stopped going but since we are in Germany DH likes to drive that fast autobahn that we have here and waste more gas because he wants to get there "early." Believe it or not though you can't slow down in any of these roads. People will be honking their horns at you. That's why DH and I agrue about it sometimes because he drives fast where talking about around 110 mph sometimes 120mph and we have a baby in the back, and when we get there we have to fill up again :-(

I too hate buying gas, but I figure you have to live right? I work 40 miles from home and drive an SUV. I have to get gas all the time and its ridiculous. Gas prices likely won't go down until after the summer because they always go up during the summer anyway.

Dh drives a truck and thankfully doesn't drive it that much since he's gone a lot for work but when he's home we still go through a lot of gas. Once we get moved into a new place (in about a week) it won't be so bad b/c its out in the country and we'll be so busy we won't have time to go anywhere.

It's a real budget killer. I'm scared to see how bad it's going to get closer to Memorial Day weekend. If an errand is within walking distance I walk. I walked to the bank this morning.

between dh and I we only spend about 25 a week on gas. His company pays for all of his gas and I only go to the grocery store and dds school. Maybe to my moms. Thank god we dont need much gas cuase I would die if I had to spend more than 100 to 150 a month on gas.

Here is New Zealand currently petrol prices are about $6.20 a gallon and last year they were up to $6.60.
We live 7 kilometres from our "little" town and half an hour from our nearest supermarket.
I have really learnt to be content at home and only go to the supermarket when I really have to. The children go to Youth Group once a week in our little town and we also go to church there. Our litle town is VERY community minded which is good.

I need to buy gas today so I was curious as to how much I've spent on gas lately. Not counting what it will take to fill up today as I am less than 1/4 tank right now I've spent $140!!! A month you ask? Nope just since last payday and I get paid every 2 weeks! That is just what I've spent alone, not counting the money that dh has spent filling up his truck! Geez!
