My dh came home with a pair of clippers, he paid $12 for them. So far we have buzzed 3 boys (yikes they had lots of hair!!!) and my dh wants me to do him too. It will be nice for the summer since they all have thick hair!!!

my son (two and a half) has never had his hair cut from anyone but myself. My husband used to go with me clipping his hair, but he is in a temp job waiting for the full position to come so we have to make sure is 100% professional.

I cut everyone's hair in my house. In fact, I just did dh's tonight. I cut my ds and two dd's hair. It's pretty easy when it's just a long, straight style and my son is a buzz cut.

Isn't it great?! I do this too, and i'm counting down the days until school is out for the year, ds needs his head shaved but won't let me until school is finished. He's got that thick wavy hair too.

I have thought about buying a good set of clippers too. For the price that it costs to get the boys haircut, I could buy me some clippers. It is outrageous when all three boys go in for haircuts. What gets me is I get charged full price for getting my 16 month olds hair cut. I think I will save up my money and go ahead and get me some. I have watched them get their hair cut so many times, I know that it wouldnt be too hard to do it. Plus if I get it now, I have all summer to practice before school starts.

I bought some clippers and started cutting my husband's hair when we were engaged. I'm sure we've saved hundreds. When I got my hair cut once, I just asked the girl for tips. Some clippers will even come with an instructional video, but it really isn't hard.

I also cut everyone's hair in our house, including my own unless someone gets a gift certificate. If I get a new style, I'll go ONCE to the salon and after that, I can follow their cut until I decide to change styles. With six of us, it does save a ton of money. I've been cutting dh's hair since we've been married. I can do a normal cut (which isn't easy on him with all those blasted cowlicks!!) or I can do a buzz cut. He's gone back to a normal cut in the past few months...it makes him look younger... Ds...well...there's no other way to cut his hair. He has to have a buzz cut as he has a TRIPLE crown AND cowlicks! If you follow the cut that's already there, it isn't hard.
