I've never done that. My dh doesn't really care how much I spend because he knows I'm frugal and not going to blow money unwisely.

Nope, I don't show him everything simply because he is not interested. I bought a shirt yesterday for $2 on clearance. I did n ot show him, but then again, he would not care. We would definitely discuss big purchases though.

I don't hide purchases, DH usually notices if something is new. I pretty much tell him everything.

this is me too. I do like to show him my garage sale finds which he doesn't care about either but I have to "share". He usually tells me about any purchase b/c he wants to make sure I haven't seen it cheaper or make sure it was a good deal.

No. I have to admit, I thought about doing it last week. I need $300 to file paperwork to look for my birthmother and I know he would not be thrilled with that idea. (He thinks I am being disloyal to my parents.)

So, I decided to talk to him about it and he agreed with me that it would be money well spent. That is the only time I have been tempted to hide something from him.

I don't know how to explain it, but my DH has no interest in what anything costs or money in general. I do all the financial stuff. I don't hide it from him, but he never ever asks. I am not a shopper, so I don't buy a lot of things, but recently I discoverd scrapbooking and spend TONS on it in the last week. He couldn't care less.
He can't hide anything from me bc I do the budget and log in all our purchases and review all credit card statements. But even if he could, I trust 100% that he wouldn't.
To me hiding would be deceiving and I don't believe in any kind of deception in a marriage.

Neither of us hides things. I think we both know each others spending habits and don't worry. I trust him not to buy anything expensive or wasteful and he does the same to me.
