I love my goodwill, but our prices are never that low! LOL Except for when I was pregnant with Cameron, I grabbed him a few outfits out of the .99 bin, and they were 50% off ROFL! They were so cute, little carter rompers that looked brand new!

I'm not sure if all goodwills do this, but ours gives diffrent color tags depending on which day it came in. Then they change it each day, and if you get an item with that color tag, its half price. I've gotten some GREAT deals that way. There was a time that ALL my kids clothes came from Goodwill! LOL

Score!!!! Awesome deals. I'm with Blessedwith6- my GW is expensive- way more costly than Target or Walmart clearance, and never any special bargain days. Last time I was in the store they had started putting everything on the racks into color groups... all the red tops on one, all the blue on another. It was bizarre. Are they all doing that now?

Yeah my Goodwill sorts things by colors and then by sizes within the color. That would be nice if I was looking for a certain color, but I rarely am. I'd rather they just sort everything by size. Our prices are not anything to rave about either, but they do have half price Saturdays once a month.

Way to go!

I have 2 goodwills and they are very reasonably priced. For 1/2 price items, they pick a color for the week and they are always both the same. My best buy was a lego table for $4. I knew dh would roll his eyes, but I couldn't pass up the bargain. Npw he loves the table.

The closest GW to me never has such good prices! And the selection of kids clothes is close to nothing. I wish they sorted by size but they don't.

Mine is also sorting by color (slowly). I still have "sections" (Women's dresses/coats/electronics/toys/books/games/housewares) I'm counting down to our "Bag Sale" where everything you can shove in the bag is $5.00. We have to stand in line to get our bag but we end up with shoes, clothes, linens, purses, everything in the bag. Now I'm craving a Goodwill trip!!!!!:D

I finally went to the Goodwill a 1/2 hr or so away after my ds's last Dr appt. I was so excited but I was so disappointed. Everything, clothes wise, was just jumbbled together. All the boys clothes were together but not arranged my size or anything and I was not going to look through everything with my 4yr old with me. All the toys were just thrown on shelves and had missing pieces or looked very used to me. I'm going to try again next month after the next Dr appt. I am so hoping to have better luck then. This is a new store too, I was just surprised.

our goodwill is hit or miss but i like to go once a week or every two weeks but i have to have time to look cause stuff is jumbled in there.. infant clothes are always 1.38 and kid clothes 2.38 and then they run sales based on the color of tag like when i went that day it was 1/2 off pink tags wich most of what i picked up was a pink tag by acccident...but i find great things at this one the other dw are not as good but this one is new and in a wealthy area.

I don't understand the color thing.. I mean, aren't most of the people who shop at goodwills parents with kids? It amazes me how goofy and nonsensical things can be. I'd love to be able to drop into the local goodwill and shop but I dont have a babysitter available to just go to the goodwill.. and i definately can't take him in there with me b'c he's 2.. sorting for sizes in color-selected clothing with a two year old.. YEA RIGHT!
