Today once dd wakes up from her nap I am WALKING to the grocery store and staying under my $50 budget for the week. Plus only having the bottom section of my stroller pervents me from over buying

My whole family went to the pool as a guest of a friend, who has a yearly membership. So, we went for free. We brought water from home, left over pizza and a couple of other snacks, rather than buy snacks and lunch from the snack stand. We got out of there for $1, because DH bought the kids 4 flavored ice sticks (2 for .25 cents) and 2 slim jims (.25 cents each). We all had a blast and it finally feels like summer, since this was our first time visiting the pool this year, so far! We've been invited to come back, but next time we will ride our bikes the 3 miles to the pool, so no gas either!

I took the kids to a free movie at Regal Theaters. They don't check you for goodies when you come in, so we brought our own.

My daughter started art classes at the local community center ($10 total for 6 lessons over 3 weeks). She also had ice skating lessons...not so frugal at ($9 a class but she loves them).

Let's see saturday we grilled out chicken & had so much left over so last night I made chicken pasta salad that we had last night, ate it for lunch today & had the rest of it for dinner. There is still some of that grilled chicken left over so we are going to have salad tomorrow night with grilled chicken on top. So I had three meals out of one. Yeah for me!!!

I didn't go out to dinner with my sister and ate leftovers at home instead.

I'm out of town for a week-long teaching conference. This probably doesn't count, because we did this Sunday night, but all of us went to Walmart and bought 12-packs of soda to keep in our hotel rooms. For $1.88, I bought 12 cans of Sam's Club diet soda. The hotel is selling bottles of soda for $1.50 EACH!!!

But there is something I did today. We get free breakfasts and lunches, so all we have to pay for is supper. (I will get reimbursed for my meal money later, but I do have to pay for it now.) My coworkers wanted to go to Outback Steakhouse. I knew their menu items were expensive. While they all got sodas and steaks (to the tune of $20 or so), I got water and a FANTASTIC chicken sandwich - for $9. With the blooming onion that another coworker shared with everybody and the bread that was at the table, I had more than enough food!!
