We are having leftovers for lunch and grilled pizzas for dinner ratehr than ordering in. While the grill is hot I plan on cooking loads of potatoes, veggies and some chicken for use in later meals so I don;t have to heat the oven up.

Well, so far today I inventoried our pantry and both freezers to make my meal plan for the rest of this month. I had alot more than I thought but it will really help with my grocery list this week and my goal of not eating out this summer.

Not much, went for breakfast at Tim Horton's with dd but we enjoyed our outing together and it was much needed (for me anyway ).

I used vinegar instead of fabric softener in my wash and I'm about to go hang it on the line (I love hanging clothes on the line, it relaxes me hum... am I getting weird or what ). I know it's wrong but I sometimes feel that if I enjoy it, or don't mind to much doing it then it's not frugal. As if to be frugal it had to be challenging. I wonder why I think like that

I used the coffee grounds that my husband made coffee with this morning! They are drying out on a sheet pan and i will put them in the soil of my plants on the deck...they work for a good fertilizer. the girls wanted to get chicken nuggets for lunch today- but i pulled the ones out of the freezer and i'll serve it to them with some of the McDonald's sweet and sour sauce that i have left over from the last time we got nuggets there (McDonalds put like 10 sauces in our bag and we only had two orders of nuggets...that NEVER happens!!!)
My hubby was frugal this morning, because he biked to work! He got there 5 minutes before it started pouring, so now I have to be "UNfrugal" and go and pick him and his bike up before his lunch hour...I'll bring him home and he'll drive back to work. He only drives to work about once a week, so we've been doing good with gas $$$$ (other than our big trip to Minneapolis we just took).

My bread pan was old and starting to rust so I went to the thirft store to see if I could find one. No luck - the only one I did find was worse looking than mine! I'll probably have to buy this new.

Awhile back we had lost the seatbelt clip on my daughter's infant carseat. No big deal we just pulled the clip off of her new seat. That was fine except with the baby coming at anytime we would need both car seats and I couldn't find that clip anywhere! I ended up buying a $3.00 carseat from the thirft store just to get the clip, I re-donated the carseat. This route saved me $5.00 than if I would have bought the clip from Graco itself! Not to mention the time I saved in not waiting for it to be shipped.
