In our area we have this thing called Fuel Perks through a local chain of grocery stores. You get 10 cents off a gallon for every $50 you spend. They are valid for 3 months and they send special coupons to you every once in awhile. This grocery store also offers gift cards that can go with the program (TRU, Old Navy, Kohl's- etc.).

Well I found out that my perks expire on the 30th this month and took my Blazer in and 2- 5 gallon gas tanks and got them all filled for $23.92! I did not realize that my fuel perks discount was that high- I got $2 off a gallon! I have to admit though- I really did not spend that much money in that amount of time. I used bonus point coupons (.25 cents for every $50 spent about 3 times and a few other ones), they also have a sale going on for every $50 spent on gift cards you get double points. I buy gift cards from there towards school clothes, Christmas and Birthdays!

Must be Giant Eagle! I love this fuel perks program! I don't have many Get Go's nearby so my points add up and it makes a nice break from the current gas prices!
I've heard that there are some locations (in Ohio, not sure about PA) that double the fuel perks on a regular basis, that'd be awesome!

I have seen the Giant stores that have the gas station out front - I wish we had that around here!

Our Safeways does that. You can have up to five discounts, but you cant use them all in one fuel up. But still .10 off fuel is still a heck of a deal for us. We have a local gas station that if you pay cash or credit, you can draw for a discount too. You can get anywhere from .03-.10.

Yep! Actually the double points is how I got mine to go up so high- besides the extra mailers! Right now they are doubling the gift cards in my area- so you get 20 cents for every $50 you spend on gift cards (which is great since my oldest b-day is coming up!).

If you are close to the PA turnpike- go to the Cranberry exit (I believe the 2nd exit) and there is a ton of Get-Go's to cash in on your fuel perks (also Kings resturant gives you $5 vouchers for every $50 you spend there!). That is the area I live in too!
