I really like to use the plastic containers that baby and toddler wipes come in. Theyre super sturdy. I have an old Huggies container that is great for scuncis and hair clips. I recently got a ton of boxes of toddler wipes from target on clearance for less than refills, so some of them are holding beads or small toys for my son. One travel pack of wipes is ds' "wallet"- where he holds the other thing I reuse: gift cards and fake credit cards that come in the mail. They make a great free toy for kids and can be used to teach them colours and shapes!

I thought I was the only one who "fudged" and used them longer. I just clean them well each night and they last longer than 2 weeks.

But my cupboards end up looking like a mess and since you can't see in most of them, the little bits of leftovers get forgetten about.
I save them too but only enough to fit in a bin I keep in the basement. I use them for storing leftovers in the freezer and for dishing out leftovers for people to take home after I have hosted a meal. That way they do not have to worry about returning it and I do not have to put it in the trash or send one of my "keepers" home.

Ladies, please be careful wearing your contacts longer than you should. I also did this (a six month supply to last a year). I do not have protiet buildup and took very, very good care of my contacts. But ended up in the ER! I couldn't see and my eyes were swollen almost completely shut. I ended up on meds for a month and couldn't wear contacts for three months. I know it saves a ton on money, but please, please, please, be careful!!!!

I reuse the plasic bags from the produce dept. They are great in place of saran wrap to cover a plate or bowl. I try to pick up an extra one or two each time I'm shopping since I use them so often.

I also keep the plastic containers from restaurant leftovers or takeout (NOT styrofoam, but real plastic). They usually seal really well and are sturdy. Along the same lines, the plastic containers that bakery products come in are good, too. I've used all of these when sending in baked goods when kids or dh need to bring something for a potluck. Nice not to worry about bringing the container back home again.

All right, here's mine. You know those wickedly dangerous metal toothy strips on the wax paper and foil boxes? I pull them off and snake my bathroom sink drain with them. The teeth catch all the hair and scrape the gunk from the sides. No more slow drains.
