I don't often go to Aldi's b/c it's in the next town over, but I was getting discouraged about all the grocery prices going up around here. So, I took a drive over there today, and I'm so glad I did. There stuff is just so great in quality, considering the price. They had these super delish strawberries for 0.99/lb. I hardly ever find them for less than 2.50. And the same for blueberries. And cantaloupes were friggin' 0.49 each. I made note to see if their prices had gone up, and I think some items did, but it's still so stinking cheap. I love how simple the store is, too. Just go up and down a few aisles, and you're done. I wish they had a bit more selection, but I'm not complaining. There are a few things that are cheaper at Costco (i.e. butter) and Wally World, but not much.

So, does anyone else shop at Aldi's?

I love Aldi's as well. I start there with my shopping and buy as much as I can there before moving on to Walmart or Fareway. The only dairy product I don't buy there is the cheese, but milk, yogurt, sour cream, etc is alot cheaper there.
They also have good sales on toys so keep a lookout for potential presents.

Yes, I go to Aldi first and see how much of my list I can get there. It's my favorite grocery store.

Ooh, Ooh, Ooh!!! I'm an Aldi's gal, too! I love them, although it take a bit of planning for me to get there. I don't know if I saw it on Mommysavers or somewhere else, but check out Aldi Meal Planner. They have HUNDREDS of recipes on there, meal calendar, & it prints out your grocery list from the recipes you choose PLUS you can add on your extra items and basics as well! I haven't had a chance to look around on there much, but it seems worth checking out :happy dance:

I love Aldi's for when money is really tight and I need to get a lot of things- I have to drive about 30 minutes away into a town I don't really care for that much (I would rather drive into the city during rush hour than go there- !). Anyways- if and when I go there- I am always tempted to go to Goodwill and so on- so that is a chore in itself!

However I do like Aldi's- besides a lot of their dairy products. But it seems like anytime I go there- I can home with a lot of junk food which is not good for my diet!

I don't buy much junk food there. I think it's great for staples.

I go to Aldi's occassionally, and it is alot cheaper, but alot of the times, I can get the things I need cheaper buying a name brand with a coupon that is on sale at local stores. they do have great prices though and when money is tight and no coupons or good sales, that is where I shop.. The Aldi's here remodeled last year and they have a lot bigger selection of foods, not just one choice of something. It is really nice.. I can stock up on alot of things there and not spend more than $50.

I love grocery shopping there. I can't imagine how big our bill would be every month if I bought the same amount of food elsewhere. It's very satisfying when I go through the checkout with a cart full and only pay $60. You just have to be strict with yourself about the junk food - it's hard to not to buy it when it's so low priced and in our store it is the first thing you walk past.
