So, I'm the person that likes to have proof of the savings in black and white. Here's a link to a website with a really good worksheet to record your coupon savings. There's nothing like coming home and showing off to db (dear boyfriend-hasn't coughed up the ring yet)

i have an excel document like this that I use. Mine is laid out (in columns)
| item | off-sale price | sale price | coupon | quantity | total | savings |

it works really well and I can see how much the sale/cpn is really saving me!
