Took dd into JC Penny's to have photos done. They took a huge number of pics and I just picked one ordered the $8 package and the $5 to have the rest in digital format and walked out.

:happy dance: I am so happy to have the 1year (well 15 month) pics taken and super happy to have not been suckered into buying tons of photos I didn't need.

So have the bargin packages ever got you where you went in for just the advertised package and came out spending 5 times as much or am I the only one who sometimes gets suckered in.

yes, but thankfully we had the extra cash so it didnt matter much.

but otherwise we usually stick to the one free pic or the deal.

I get suckered for about $100 every time!! The pictures always look so cute, so I feel guilty not buying at least one of every pose.

What willpower. It's so hard to walk away with just one or two shots, especially when they're all so cute.
We took ds to Sears when he was six months old. I chose the cutest one to hang in the living room, but it was dh who said, "he's only going to be this old once. Let's get them all." Well, they were adorable, but what were we going to do with all of them? We compromised and got a collage type thing.
I also talked dh out of buying 5x7s for every family member. I mean, I love to look at pictures of my kid, but not every relative we have wants to hang his picture on the wall. We got some wallet sized ones.
We did much better for his one-year pics. We decided in advance what we would get and stuck to it.

I always go in with an idea of what I am going to spend, however, it is usually very high. Professional photos are one of the things I choose not to skimp on. I go to a more expensive place, but they do an amazing job, and I spend a little more because I know that if I skimped and went some where else and did the vlaue package, I would regret it later and it would be too late because they are only little for so long and it is not something that I can "get later", like many other things that I skimp on.
