1. DD picked out a free book at Barnes and Noble from the summer reading program.

2. Got 3 free bottles of Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce. Fareway had them for .$99 cents and I had $1.00 off coupons.

Went to the beach and took a cooler of food with us.

DH wanted to run and get something to eat when we finally got home, but I talked him out of it!

I went to Borders and picked up some things off the clearance tables for the boys birthdays. They were all under $6....cool things like a pirate craft kit and a draw your own comic book kit. Riley will love those for sure.
I was happy i found them for such a good price.

When i went shopping for my daycare supplies i ended up putting about six items back once i got to the counter. That saved me a huge amount. I didn't need it so why buy it.

I'm sort of struggling emotionally right now. We have a lot going on at the moment. I needed to get out of the house, so I took my DD to an art class at a friend's "creativity store". I filled up the van with gas, which was $30. I also spent $30 on scrapbooking stuff. Oh well. Tomorrow will be a better day money-wise because we're staying home and having a playdate here.

I got a cake carrier at Ollie's for $2.99! I needed to get one for dd's birthday cake- they wanted $1.50 for a cardboard one at the grocery store!

1. We went to the pool this morning - it's only $2 per person from 9:30 - 11:30 and just the kiddie pool and splash pad are open (all we need) versus $5 a person the rest of the day.

2. A friend brought by a BIG zucchini and summer squash. I shredded up the zucchini, made a loaf of zucchini/ carrot bread and then froze the rest in one cup portions for fresh zucchini bread this winter.
