This is the second time I've tried to participate with Shoppers Hotline - where you scan your purchases and they send you gift cards and prizes for your efforts. The first time was years ago. I scanned everything for a long time and didn't receive diddly-squat. I decided to give it a try again when I was invited to participate in 2006 and the same thing is happening! I started scanning in Oct, 2006. Apparently something was wrong with my unit and they weren't getting my info so I got a different unit at the beginning of 2007. I've been scanning consistently since then but they say they have only been receiving my data for the last 13 weeks. Okay, 13 weeks of data still qualifies me for a debit card and some 'spins' but again - nada, zippo, nothing!

I'm going to quit. Has anyone ever succeeded at this Shoppers Hotline thing?

When we had a land line I used the scanner and didn't have any problems. Added up to about $25-$50/year worth of gift certificates. Now that we only have cell phones I accumulate points alot less--only by doing their surveys, or when I shop at certain stores. I got the credit card they give you instead of the gift certificates and it had $25 on it. Every little bit helps. I used it to buy school supplies and a present.

I got a postcard saying all attempts to contact me (WTH??) were failed and my membership was being cancelled. SO I left a voicemail then I sent an email saying this is the 2nd time my scanner has not worked (and this time it's been since April).

WEll, I have faithfully scanned and done surveys and they are going to credit me only with weekly points. I am going to complain again.

I also do the same thing for Neilsen, and you get to order products. I like the debit card with Shoppers Hotline but I am hopping mad about this. And the guy that has my account is very hard to understand. But they sent a new battery for the base and I just put it in so I need to call and see if it is working.

Also he asked if I have voicemail or a machine, we have the machine pick up first, voicemail is like 10 rings. So he asked that I check for messages because they left one. He did not know when, but I never got any.

Then he also asked who the phone company is, well it is Vonage and I have had no problems in the past scanning and having Vonage. We have had Vonage well over a year and a half.

I am ready to throw in the towel with them and I have been a member a long time. It is very hard to contact them and their website is updated very infrequently. I'd be curious what happens with you, please give an update when you have one!

Your 13 weeks and my April date are not all that far apart. I wonder if it is them and not us with the trouble???

Thanks for your response. They never have sent the rewards card. I'm sick of hassling with them.

I think the card is new this year, and you have to keep it. They can download more money onto it. You get the card when you have enough points to turn in for money.
