Anyone have any gift ideas that aren't really expensive. My father-in-Law's B-day is the 16th.
Any ideas that you used for your father in law? He is in Boy Scouts, leader of our church, has a motorcycle and likes to camp.Thank You for any ideas.

Barnes and Noble usually has some really cheap books around $2-3. Maybe you could find him something regarding one of the interests you listed.

The book idea is a neat one. My FIL is a hunter/camper/fisherman so I tend to center his gifts around that.

Maybe a few different little camping gadgets/gear. Waterproof matches, bug spray, etc.

Sounds like he has a lot of interests, so I'm sure you'll be able to find something at the bookstore or the camping section at any sporting goods store.

I always get my FIL a shirt. L.OL! He has everything, doesn't want anything and is really hard to shop for all around!

We always get my FIL something from the Harley store! T-shirt or sweatshirt usually!

I bought my Dad a Life is Good golf t-shirt and he really liked it. We actually bought matching ones for my parents anniversary. They both said if we were looking for ideas in the future that they would love to have more of them. They sell all kinds of different ones.

For camping, you could get some Mason jars and decorate them with paint. After they dry, wrap some wire aroung the top and make a handle. He can use them to hold citronella candles and either hang them in trees around the campsite, or just sit them on the ground around their area.

You could also do something similar, but instead of leaving them open, you could drill a hole in the lid and insert a wick to make a tiki torch. I just don't like to torches, because they make me nervous.

How about something personalized from the kids? I just recently framed a story ds wrote about he & Papa's fishing trip. Brought tears to his eyes, he has hung it in a prominent spot and it cost under $15 for framing supplies!! Or maybe you could do one of those stepping stones with the kids' handprints? I like personalized gifts, and they are usually a good value too!

I just made my father-in-law a scrapbook for Father's Day. I had some extra scrapbooks I hadn't used (who hasn't?!) and looked through my two shoeboxes of pictures (no cost for prints) and used some of my stash (scrapbooking stuff bought on e-bay in large lots for cheap!) and made him a scrapbook. He loved it. He is very family oriented.

Maybe a small fully stashed emergency kit - that would work for all of the things you mentioned. Does he drink coffee? Personalize a mug with his name or a cute saying you find by googling novelty mug websites.
