I've decided I have to really get a handle on my money. So I was going to think everything through before I made any purchases. The day started out well. I decided to stop into the dollar tree to get the sunday paper for my coupons to save $, and after picking up other junk I ended spending more than I would have getting it at 7 11. Then it was our pizza night and i had a place in mind that had a really good special and I let mu dh convince me to get something else. Urrr!

Hey...don't feel bad. I bought boneless chicken breasts on sale...and felt so good...came home, baked them with BBQ sauce, only something came up, and we ended up having to go somewhere and grab a bite to eat while out..and then, I forgot to put them in the fridge when we got home, so they were ruined. My good intentions cost us TWO meals. Grr.....

I still get burned occasionally; I think it happens to everyone. Gotta keep on trying, though. The grocery store always seem to zing me. I'll think I'm getting a great deal only to get home and discover that instead of the advertised price of 2/$4 for cereal I got charged $3.79 per box.... and bought 4... then it was impossible to load the kids back up into the car and go get a refund. I try to watch at the cash register and check my receipt before I leave the store, but if the kids are with me, I'm lucky to make it out alive, LOL

This happened to me last night. I had some sheperds pie in the freezer from a double batch I made 2 weeks ago. I put it in the oven and when it was almost done.....I had to go out. Well I turned off the oven and left....and totally forgot about it until around noon today.....and it's too late I'm at work. So there goes my hard work down the drain.
