Post your homemade beauty recipes here. I'll start off with a good body scrub. I got this from all natural beauty products - organic beauty care - beauty directory

Invigorating Coffee Scrub

3 T Coffee grounds (organic-caffeinated preferred)
1 T Salt (optional)

To Make: Brew a fresh pot of coffee. Enjoy a cup, if you like. Put grounds (and salt) in a small bowl. Use grounds within 20 minutes of brewing before oxidation occurs.

To Use: Scrub mixture over entire body while in the shower. Rinse. Tone. Moisturize.

Another of my favorite recipes is a face mask that I have been using for years. It makes your face really soft, bright and blemish-free.

1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon milk

Mix well, until honey is dissolved. Spread all over face and neck. Leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse off with plain water. Do not wash your face after, and moisturize if you need. I don't usually need to moisturize after doing this, because it makes your face nice by itself.

To soften your hands, dip them in a container of oatmeal (just plain oatmeal).

To make a wonderful face mask, wet a bit of oatmeal with milk or yogurt. Put on your face (it looks awful!) and rest for about 30 minutes. Wipe it off then wash your face as usual.

Body scrub: Mix equal parts of sea salt and olive oil. Use as a scrub on hands, knees, elbows or feet.

Body scrub II: Mix equal parts of sugar and olive oil. This is really good for cutiles, too.

For lovely fingernails: Moisturize them daily with a little bit of Vaseline.

To cure dandruff and itchy scalp: Wash and condition your hair as usual then put on a final rinse of original Listerine (you can use the generic equivalent, too). It might tingle slightly and even after rinsing you'll smell a bit like eucyliptis but that disappears in a couple of days.

Homemade lip gloss: take the leftover lipstick and mix it with petroleum jelly. Microwave for 10-30 seconds. Store in a clean tin.
