Does anyone go?
Do you go on a regular basis?
Do you even have them in your area?
Do you buy items for your family to keep or to resell on EBAY?
Are you saving money, making money or just spending money by going?

I ask because while we don't have any in our immediate area, my parents live in FL and they have lots and lots to choose from. They hit flea markets 4-5 times a week. They buy books and resell them on EBAY and they make a ton of $$$$. My Dad bought a book at a flea market last week about machine guns for $2.00. He put it on EBAY and the bidding is up to nearly $200.00!!!

While I would love to do that and know what books to buys, etc....I hate going to flea market. I always feel pressure to buy. So I was just wondering who goes and does it make a difference in your budget and the amount of $$$ you have.

I am in FL and there is a big flea market by us called the Swap Shop. We used to go often, and occasionally dh would buy things for re-sale. I don't think we ever did as good as your dad, though! For us it was more of something to do, and we'd occasionally find bargains. With the kids though it is just too much, too hot, too crowded, everything...

I would say 9/10 times, we spent $ there instead of saving. They don't tend to really sell a lot of "needs" there, just stuff that makes you say "cool, I want that..."

It must be a big Florida thing! We don't have any around here, but my parents live in FL and they go all the time!

Does anyone go? yes

Do you go on a regular basis? not really... we go if we see one while out traveling. Once or twice a year we will go to local ones

Do you even have them in your area? yes we have 3 or 4 within an hour or two away

Do you buy items for your family to keep or to resell on EBAY? very little for ourselves. DH buys stuff like old/antique light fixtures rewires and restores them and resells them. Other things we resell via local advertising. I have never been good at EBay

Are you saving money, making money or just spending money by going? Saving money if we can find something we need cheaper, making money if we find something cheap that we can resell.

When we go to Fl to see SIL the Swap Shop is on our must do list. I bought a cheap knock off watch once there that I paid $5.00 for lasted me for 6 years. Dh loves that place. Do they still have the circus?

Yep, they still have the circus!
They used to sell great knock off purses there too and at some of the smaller flea markets around here too, but in the past several years I think there has been a crack down, because you don't find them anymore.
