I did my grocery shopping for the month today! I drug my 4 boys along (ages 4, 7, 8 & 9) We first went to Aldi's in Mankato (half an hour away). Spent $37 there. Then on to Sam's, also in Mankato. Spent $103 there. I had told my dd that I would be happy to come in under $400 for the total. So then we came back to our town and went to HyVee. I was expecting at least $100 there. I was so excited it was only $77!!! The cashier says she does not see too many happy people when she tells them their total!!:happy dance: So then I went to Family Dollar to buy some crackers. Spent another $6.

GRAND TOTAL for 7 people for one month: $223:happy dance:

I do need to run to WalMart to buy some water and pretzels, but the boys are shot so it will have to be after dh gets home. My total should cover everything except bread and milk !!!

That is incredible! I don't understand how you shop for the month, though. Do you buy fresh produce? So you not replenish this weekly? I wish I could do a month's worth for that amount! I have gotten a ton of great advice as to how to shop on a frugal budget, but I don't get close to that!

Does this include Non Food Items
Like Cleaning Products and Diapers /pullups /Wipes etc??

I am going to Try and Spend Just 600.00 on the 6 of us Next month ... That 'll be For everything too - Even Milk , bread , and fresh Fruit Weekly as well as any HB and Cleaning things we need -

Your Post gave me Hope! although I don't Use many coupons - and There aren't too Many places to Run to around here - so I won't be able to go as low as you!!

when We were a Family of 3 we Stuck to 75.00 a week for everthing - so I should easily Just be able to Double that for the 6 of us ......ray:

Frugal shopping in this heat makes it 1000x worse! By my last stop on Monday, all of a sudden out of nowhere I was exhausted.

I don't really buy that many cleaning product and we only use pull ups for one child at night. I already have a big box of those from Sams. I did buy paper towels and laundry soap though. I bought apples, oranges, bananas and grapes. The apples and oranges will last all month. I may pick up bananas or some other fruit mid way through the month. I do also have to admit that I will probably buy more cereal during the month. We buy that at Target for $1.67 a box. I do not usually buy fresh veggies. We eat alot of frozen ones. I did buy potatoes and onions. We got peppers from a friends garden.
