I went to garage sales this morning, found ds some t shirts for .50 each they will be nice school shirts. Found dh 2 nice name brand dress pants for 1.00. Made 12 pints of poor man's jelly out of tomatoes. And stayed home most of the rest of the day. Didn't even feel the urge to spend. Other than at garage sales. Tell what you did to save money today.

We had breakfast at the Free Community Breakfast that my town holds once a year. And then my mother stopped by and picked up two gallons of milk for us -- meaning no impulse buys for me. I also paid $10.00 for a painting for my husband's office at work -- not so much because I liked it but because it was donated to the Community Breakfast by a dear eldery friend and I noticed no one else had bid on it and I could stand to see it sent home to the woman who made it. Of course, as my husband pointed out to me, it was a silent auction and I could have bid a $1.00 and still brought it home since I was the only bidder. Other than that we're staying at home and about to make some butterfly wings for my daughter -- using products only that I have in the house!

After sweating like a pig at soccer, I didn't want to cook dinner but I did. I really wanted to go out or order pizza but I made pretty healthy food that I already had!

We didn't even go ANYWHERE today! I saved money on gas...I opened the windows and let the fresh air flow through, we saved money on heating/cooling. The girls made fingerpaints using condensed milk and food coloring...that was fun!

Did my month grocery shopping. I saved $7.50 using coupons, and I came in $13 under budget!

I got 2 boxes of frozen chicken nuggets for free. They were on sale, plus the grocery store was offering coupons, plus I had coupons. So FREE NUGGETS :happy dance: (in fact I got 0.02$ back!!).

I saved total 23$ (including the free nuggets) on my trip to the grocery store.

Played with the kids outside so we did not spend any money and we had quality time.

I will make hot dogs for lunch even if what I would really like is to go to McDonalds and not have to do anything!!! (well, we will see if I make it to lunch time without changing my mind - I have some coupons for McDonalds so it's very tempting)

Good day to you all!

I stopped myself from buying some post its flags, even thugh I had a $2 off coupon, and it would have only been 29 cents because I can just cut existing post its to the size I need.

Yesterday, found a garage sale with as many little boys clothes as I wanted to put into a bag for $1. I was very good, and wasn't overly greedy and take it all, though I could have. I'd have felt guilty though, lol

Have been unfrugal as of late though with the groceries, but with this stupid diet my doctor has me on, I have to eat so much fruit, and meat and dairy each day it's insane. My bill is up $15-20 a week because of it and not being allowed any boxed items, like burger helper, and mac and cheese.
