What frugal things are you doing today to help save money?

1. Will walk dd to school
2. The weather is nice so we have had the AC off for awhile now.

1. Drying several loads of laundry outdoors - after washing them with only a third of the detergent

2. Gathering some samples to give to my sister in law, since I'm not going to use them and don't want t throw them out.

3. Requested some books and cd's from the library to see if I'm interested in buying them for myself, before just buying them because I love the author/artist.

Brought breakfast and lunch to work today. Not buying a diet soda in the vending machine (which is a rarity for me), but instead, drinking free bottles of water.

I had to go to HyVee to get some prescriptions for my dh and picked up a few groceries. They had gallons of chocolate milk on sale for $2.98!!! So I bought 2. My kids have been begging for some, but I told them it was too expensive. I can't believe they have chocolate milk for more than 50cents less than they have regular milk for!!

MUCH cheaper than lunch meat from the deli! I also turned off the air conditioner and went to the grocery store closer to home instead of a couple of blocks farther up. Our car died this summer and we replaced it with a used mini-van that is really hard on gas, so every mile counts right now LOL!
