I live in Georgia and the local gas stations have milk on sale 2 gallons for $5. You have to buy 2 at a time and it is going through the end of September.

Milk is running a gallon for $4.29 so this is a GREAT DEAL!

Mine has been 2 for $7 at Wal Mart.

Denver

Prices good Wed - Tues this week

Albertsons - $2.88 gallon
Safeway - $3 gallon

Bought organic milk last night at $4 a gallon

Everyone speaks of rising milks costs, I just don't see it myself.

Milk prices are definitely rising. Lately my Monday newspaper has been running ads for Dairy Barn $2.99 a gallon (I paid $4.89 in the supermarket). So now I go buy at least 2 more papers on Mondays for .50 each and I am still ahead of the game. We go through a gallon a day at my house.

ouch! Thats getting outragous! My tip if you would be interested is ~ I mix whole milk with powdered milk. One gallons turn into 2. My Dh still thinks that he is drinking the 2%. It tastes the same.

We live in a rural area and the prices of all groceries have risen in the past few months. Milk is know $3.38 for the store brand, eggs are $1.99 dozen for the store brand and bread is $2.28 for wheat bread. I guess we should all become like our ancestors and learn to live off the land!

I recently decided to use more powdered milk. I checked the three stores that I normally frequent and not one of them had powdered milk that was cheaper gallon for gallon than fresh milk.

I am ticked.
