Butter 2.99(Meijer store brand)
Bread-all different prices, for all different kinds and brands. A normal brand price is an average of 2.00 a loaf, but I would never pay that unless it was a high fiber loaf
Apples: they are in season now, so they should be around 2 dollars for a 3 lb bag
Oranges, not sure, they haven't been on sale in a while. Probably 3.99 or 4.99 for a 3 pound bag

Butter: $2.50
Bread: $1.19/loaf at Cub Foods (I get the store brand wheat)
Apples: I just bought a big bag at a Farmer's Market for $5, which I thought was high
Bananas: $.49/pound (I don't buy oranges - our family doesn't eat them)

State: Virginia (central, northern VA is a different animal)

Milk (gallon): $3.00 (at Costco)

lb of butter: $1.89 (at Costco) you can't touch it for under $2.69 at the grocery store

Loaf of plain bread (ww or white): We buy the white wheat for $1.65, but store brand white is $.99

apples (per lb) $1.29/lb

oranges (per lb) $2.49/lb

What kind of milk do you buy? I got it for $3.07 (skim) at Sam's yesterday!! And I am pretty sure we go to the same Sam's Club!

Bread: 89 cents for wheat at Aldi's
Bananas: 33 cents a lb at Aldi's

(I never buy real butter, and I only buy mixed bags of apples and oranges)

lb of butter: on sale $1.50
Loaf of plain bread (ww or white): Kroger brand on sale $1 or Wonder $2.18 at WalMart
apples (per lb) on sale $2.50 for a bag or sometime $0.99 a lb
oranges (per lb) on sale $2.99 for a bag
I used to live in Missouri and loved Aldis. I wish they had them here.

Loaf of plain bread (ww or white): I buy whole wheat "white" Sara Lee; on sale 1.50/loaf @ Kroger
apples (per lb): on sale @ Kroger .99-1.29/lb. (depends on variety)
oranges (per lb): 3lb. bag for 4.99 or 5lb. box of clementines (our fave) for 4.99

Well Here in NY the prices are not too bad:

Milk-2.35-3.35 per gallon
Butter- 1.99
Bread - white as cheap as $1-ww about $3
Apples- .59 per lb
Bananas- .49 per lb

It all varies and sometimes you can get great deal, but others, not so good. Milk used to be 1.99 per gallon, but in the last month went up.
