State: South Dakota. I see that Me&My2girls already posted. But I thought I would too since the prices will still be different according to where in the state you live.

lb of butter: $.165-stick butter. Cant remember what it is for a tub
Loaf of plain bread (ww or white): $0.99-$2.99-generic or Sara Lee

oranges (per lb) $1.79

Southeast Texas:

Milk: 2%, $3.79 at walmart
butter: no idea, we buy margarine and use it very rarely
Bread: I buy sara lee, delightful, white: $2.48
Apples: $1.03/lb
Bananas (since we don't buy oranges): $0.44/lb

Could be worse, I suppose.

Not that it matters, but when I posted earlier I wasn't sure how much butter was, but yesterday I looked and a pound of butter, store brand, was $1.88. Not bad, I'm guessing.
