1. watched a new movie from the library for free
2. Hung out 1 load of laundry on the line.
3. Used shampoo/conditioner samples I got in the mail.
4. Will walk dd home from school.
5. Meatless supper tonight
6. Bought my mom her Christmas gift off of Ebay (saved $15 if I had bought it in a store. Plus I went through the mypoints site, and they are giving extra points in September for what you buy on Ebay. Closer to getting a nice gift certificate I can use for the rest of the presents).

#1. I put homemade muffins in the kids lunches today instead of a store bought snack

#2. I came straight home, instead of grabbing a coffee/bagel and strolling around Wal-Mart, this morning when I dropped dd off at early morning band practise

#3. I ate left-over chicken noodle soup for lunch instead of letting it go to waste....I really did not want to eat chicken noodle soup today .

#4. Washed clothes in less soap and used 1/2 sheet of fabric softener per load

#5. We are eating left-over homemade pizza for supper

#6. I am taking my turn to pick up dd and friend after school from Driver's Ed. This sounds like I am spending money, but if I pick up today, dd friend's parents will pick up on thurday, so it saves me one trip per week to town.

~ washed load of laundry in cold water using less detergent
~ kids will be riding bus home from school today (saving fuel)
~ stuck to my list when going to the grocery store (major accomplishment for me)
~ came straight home, instead of stopping at Wendy's for lunch; fixed myself a small frozen pizza
~ A/C is still off; windows are open; loving the fresh air coming in the house

-washed clothes in cold water, used half of detergent then hung them to dry

-stopped at aldi's today, brought my mom so she could do some shopping, she's never been there before and she loves it! spent out $37 and stocked up on soups, bread, etc.

-at lunch at home instead of going out for lunch

1- made sons lunch instead of him buying it.
2- made lunch for myself so I dont go out and buy it.
3- didnt go to any stores, because I dont need anything.
- so since I did items 2 & 3 I didnt have to waste any extra gas

1. Called around and got a price match for a generic prescription at my grosery store pharmacy. Would have cost me $10 now will only cost $4 and I have a coupon for a $20 gift card
2. I am eating leftover hamburger helper (that I got for free with a coupon) for lunch.
3. On the way home I gave the kids juice from the big bottle we bought at the grocery store. I poured it into their sippy cups instead of buying single serve or going through the drive through for pop. ( I even diluted it since my kids are sensitive to straight juice, it gives them intestinal problems )
4. I filled another prescription at wal-mart and asked if they would honor a CVS coupon for a $25 gift card with new or transferred prescription. THEY DID! CVS is so much more expensive on everything we use, so this saved us.
5. When I used some of the gift card, I bought a big container of yogurt instead of single serve even though the kids wanted the ones in cute little packs with cartoon characters on them.
6. I found out today that my OB-GYN really agreed to not charge me for the THIRD ultrasound of this pregnancy, since I had to have another one becuase his technician forgot something on the first two. I requested this weeks ago, but my wishes were granted today

I forgot my favorite one!
7. The kids and I watched the fish in wal-mart instead of running around the store spending money. It was SO much fun for all of us!

Hi all. The only place I got to go today was the grocery store since my son is sick. I was so excited though that as soon as my husband got home, I went (around 8pm). I went to HT and used my coupons. I got $82 worth of food for my pantry and to take to work with me next week for $29.72. My husband thought I was lying but I showed him my receipt and he was very happy with me. I figure the stuff I got will be enough to feed us breakfast for two weeks (without eating the same thing twice), me lunch at work for two weeks, bake 8 batches of cookies and have ice cream treats for over one month (HT brand was on sale for buy one get two free). I can also make dinner for about 4 days.

Considering two months ago before coupons and looking for sales, I would have spent more than the $82 I was very excited at my bargain.
