1. Got an oil change done at a place that gives a discount to dh because he is a paramedic. He remembers me and gives it to me as well when I come in.
2. Will have spaghetti tonight. I need to use up the jar or spag. sauce in the frig before it goes bad, and dh can take the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
3. Found great deals at Tuesday Morning (toys and books).

~ stayed home today
~ washed all laundry in cold water, using less detergent; line dried one load (ran out of clothes pins-argh!)
~ made some brownies for dessert tonight (I'm tired of the kids asking to go to DQ for ice cream every night)
~ packed Brian's & Sarah's lunch; Andy wanted to buy today, and we let them on ocassion

I'm taking inventory of my pantry/freezer stockpile so I can do a pantry challenge. I want to see how long I can go without buying anything except the basics (bread, milk, fruits/veggies).

Really productive frugal day for me today!

1) Went grocery shopping for the week and only bought 2 things not on my list (both were on clearance 75% off original price for Christmas- a dance bookbag for my oldest and a grandparent sign for my mom and dad).

2) Redeemed my fuel perks and filled my gas hog- I mean my vehicle and 2- 5 gallon gas cotainers for $1.85 a gallon ($44.00 for all of them- which is still hard to swallow!)

3) My dad dropped off a huge pumpkin and cornstalks for me and the girls (his brother lives by a farm and the guy gives him this stuff every year!). The stalks also have corn on it still so the animals in my area will also get use out of it.

4) Going to MIL's tonight to pick up a new tv stand for our oldest (when rearanging her room this week we noticed her tv armoire is now a death trap- it was really wobbly!)- which is for free- it was DH's grandmas and an extra piece of furniture taking up space in MIL's almost game room (it is mainly storage area right now from grandmas furniture and other things).

5) Making cheese manicotti and garlic bread for supper (using up all the things in our freezer in preperation for restocking for winter & angel food groceries).
