For the most part, DH's family is done (I am still working on the cookbooks- I don't know if they will be done in time!)- all my niece and nephews are done. I am almost finished with my family- 2 of them need their present but my mom is almost done (me and my DB do a stocking for her along with her presents).

I need to find something for DH and both the girls- I do have a "decent" start- as in their stockings are almost done, at least 3 small things (stuff picked up on clearance- probably gifts from us to them). I am planning on cutting back a lot this year (they will only be allowed to ask for 5 items they really want- and maybe we will get them-depending on price and etc). I do have GC's set aside for TRU for when the big book comes out (hopefully the items they want will be on it). I already have a general idea of what they want- it is just the matter of getting what they want (am having trouble finding what youngest wants- the poodle puppy grows and knows your name!- Although I did find it at TRU- but their return policy is horrible and hate to buy it when it's not on sale and if we have issues with it- it can't be returned after 45 days- they did recommend buying an extended warranty for $5 though- I laughed at that one!).

DH and I "gift shop" through out the year. If we see something on clearance or on a big sale that we know someone will like, we buy it and put it away for a birthday or Christmas. My DH has a closet in his office that we put gifts in. We are almost done for C-mas this year, we wanted to be set. With twins comming in Nov we know we won't be shopping much in Nov or Dec.

I'm at least 1/2 done and hoping to get a few more crossed off the list by the end of the month. The only trick will be is to stay out of the stores when I'm done!

I'm almost finished buying for my girls. I love buying them things so I was anxious to get them started. I found the Calico Critters online and love them. I bought each of the girls the carry case, bunk beds & a family to get started. They have plenty of dollhouses so I didn't bother with a $50 dollhouse. I bought my oldest a bead making set and my youngest band in a box. They will also get a movie, book & candy cane of m&m's in their stocking. I don't like giving clothes when they are this young. It should end up being about $100 each.

I need to buy for my brother, parents and husband. We do not do extended family exchanging. My husband is really hard because his toys are very expensive.

Haven't even given it a thought - I'll start on Black Friday(and hopefully finish the same day).

I really do it all year round. I have a few people done as of now, not by any real effort on my part...just seeing things they might like and buying it for them.

I am almost done. My daughter (3yr old) is done, and I just need to get some legos for my son.. and maybe a cookbook too (he's 7). I actually just sat down and went through what I had.. and realized that I have enough. I will even have some left overs for each of their birthdays too!

This is the first year that I have purchased as the year went along, and ended up with some killer deals. I knew that dd wanted dress up stuff, and have found lots and lots at garage sales, and ds is into computers, and was able to find him a new game for $5 on sale. I will be under $75 per child when I am done, and they will each have 10 gifts under the tree, along with some stocking stuffers.

The only thing I am still debating about is if I will make pajamas again this year. If I do, they will be the gift they open Christmas Eve, so that we are wearing our new duds in the morning.
