I usually have most of my shopping done already. But this year with a new baby and a toddler in tow, I haven't gotten out much to shop at the sales. This year will be another year of mostly online shopping....waiting for when Amazon has free shipping days.

I do have MIL done and she is the hardest for me to shop for so Yay for me!

Not sure what we will get the kids. I gave my MIL my idea for what to get DS (one of those inflatable spiderman sleeping bags) so I gotta figure out something else. Thankfully he is just 2.5 so anything will work for him. DD is just 5 months so again anything will work. My next hard one is DH.

I have started, I have DH's secretary, my DSD, and couple of small teacher gifts. I always wait until the last minute for my son's gifts because they change their minds every other day. I hope to be finished by Thanksgiving.

I usually try to make gifts for our immediate family, but I don't know where all the time went this year. We have nothing done! I have to admit though...I do love getting up at 4AM the morning after Thanksgiving and doing the mad dash through the malls grabbing deals...hopefully it'll all get done then

Hi! I have. I already bought one present for my mom. I try to buy little presents for whoever thoughout the year. It is a lot easier for myself if you give three or four little gifts for someone instead of one big item. I hope everyone does well with their Christmas shopping. It is good to start looking now for ideas and sales. n my soapbox:

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who starts chopping for Christmas early. My relatives wait until a week before! Can you believe it? Too stressful if you ask me.
My 4yo is done, and I already know what I am buying two of the others but the 17 yo is the hardest. She changes her mind too often. I told my older two that this year "Santa" is only spending $250 each so they need to decide what they want. My oldest was ticked off at me for that low of an amount and asked why so I told her," We are working our way out of debt and can't afford to spend a fortune this year, and I cut up all the credit cards so I wouldn't have to spend all next year paying for Christmas." I refuse to charge Christmas this year!!!!!!!!!! We usually only buy them 3 gifts each anyway, one large, and 2 small gifts. The problem with it was they were picking expensive items for all 3. This year I thought I'd just set that dollar amount. If they spend it all on one item, so be it.
Does anyone else have a budget for Christmas? I spend $30 each on nieces and nephews.

I am probably at least 2/3 done. When I see things thru out the year that I think people will like, I stock up.

So,it is the mainly the guys on my list that I am having trouble with. Why do they have to be so difficult?

I haven't started anything. I've been setting aside money for events instead: The Ren Fest, Halloween, Les Mis at my fav theater, then December events. I've earmarked funds from November for xmas gifts. The only things I plan to buy in Dec is decorations and food items (my mom requested truffles since she missed out on my truffle assortment last year). I'll probably make an assortment of cookies for everyone this year and just buy some truffles for my mum.

I have started shopping for my daughter. I have an idea of what I'm getting everyone else.
