Yes I get tired of telling myself and my DH especially no. I need to so I am but I want to blow lots of money and they are things that I don't need. So its worth it to be on a budget instead of under a whole lot of debt.

Ya know I have been feeling the exact same way!
We were so good for a few months and then the transmission went out on the the truck and that was $2200 out the window!
I just felt sick and tired at that point and decided to paint the interior of my house(we are in the process) with some really NICE paint! Which was not super cheap(although I got a contractors discount).
But I do see a bad trend, if my DH sees that I have spent money and I have told him to take it easy.....he starts to spend very foolishly(not big purchases, just alot of small ones) and that is where it hits us hard. So Yesterday I get a package from Childrens Place which has some Very on sale winter clothes for DD and he says, "I thought we were out of money!" He totally hates to be told what to do with finances...anyone else with this problem?? And it really starts to irk me!! I told him that I got brand new stuff for $3-4 a piece and she needs long sleeved things. He told me he was kidding but I know what he is really thinking and it pisses me off!
OK done venting! Thanks!

I am totally with all of you.

I have been frugal for my entire life. My mom was very, very frugal and I'm frugal too, But we do have retirement(can retire in ten years), all my kids went to college if they wanted to, there is food on the table, and all my bills are paid on time, and we have some money saved for any emerc., so that is why I am very frugal.

There is days when I just want to go and buy all new clothes, but then I think of all the things I do have and just thank the Lord for it all.

If it wasn't for being frugal then all of the below items would not be there. SO STAY FRUGAL and THANK THE LORD for what you have.

There are definately days where I would just like to go and buy new clothes or new things for the house, but I know deep down that I would end up feeling guilty because we're not in the position financially to do that. So, I guess in a way I do get tired of being frugal. But, on the other hand, that's how I was raised and that's who I am

Most of the time I do not mind. I have my husband to make up for it. Not that he spends without thinking all the time. But whenever he gives me money to spend on whatever or takes me to the movies or dinner when I think we shouldn't, I just let him. It keeps us sane.

Lately, I've been wanting to go out and just buy things. I notice I really get the itch when I'm at my tightest in my budget. I'm not going to buy anything, though, because I can't. I do get tired even though I know it needs to be done. Sometimes I just want to throw it all to the wind.

I agree that being frugal can be fun when you get great deals but it can also be frustrating when it's something you have to do all the time and don't have a choice - you can't go buy that new outfit or even take your kids to McDonald's because you know you won't be able to make the house payment if you do. Those times can be depressing. I just keep looking towards our goals and know that one day we will be able to throw caution to the wind whenever we want . . . ray:

Yes, I'm sick of living in the world of "have nots" when it seems like everyone else lives in the "haves". Ugh. However, we only have 2 credit cards, minimal debt, and will own our house in less than 10 years. But it would be nice every once in a while to splurge. Oh well.

I usually set aside something for myself each month, whether its an event I'm paying for or a specific treat. The rest of the time I do my best to be frugal. I think its important not to feel that you need to be frugal at the exclusion of everything else. Sometimes things are more difficult. In those cases I do my best to remember what I DO have and try to find things that make me happy without a high dollar sign involved.
